As the title of this post states, yes, I adore Rainbow Connection by OPI. I adore it so much that a while back I did two manicures in a row using it as a glitter top coat. How very creative of me.
First I used it on top of Essence Color & Go choose me!, and then I layered it over OPI's Planks A Lot from the Pirates of the Carribean collection.
I also tried out the Sally Hansen Diamond Flash fast dry top coat. I like it, but not for dense glitters. For those I prefer Sally Hansen's Insta Dri or Seche Vite.

Updates! + Another Essence Polish!
The life of Ash has been busy these days, and, of course, I've done my nails multiple times, but I've barely been on my computer, hence the lack of blog posts. I'm trying to catch up, but it's more difficult than I thought.
Exciting news, though!
My package of nail polish making supplies should arrive tomorrow. I'm slowly but surely preparing to make my own glitter polish, and I have ideas for an awesome holiday collection. I know it's probably silly for somebody with only eight blog followers to start their own brand, but...it seems like a fun hobby! Who knows, maybe I will do a giveaway in the future.
For now, here's a few photos of Essence Color & Go grey-t to be here. I love this polish! It's a grey creme with itty-bitty pink sparkles. It's neutral and feminine at the same time; so adorable.

Essence: Fame Fatal
Anyway, the mani I am wearing today is exactly what the title of this post says: Fame Fatal. I LOVE how awesome this red is. And shiny! It's so shiny! The application was easy enough and the polish went on smooth. I really adore most Essence polishes. I took these photos with the flash on because it showed a more accurate depiction of the color.

It's A Lovely Secret
I couldn't really choose how I wanted to do my nails, so I ended up starting with two coats of "a lovely secret" by Essence. It looked really pretty, and part of me wanted to leave it alone, but then I decided to spice it up with some "LIME UP!" (also by Essence) dots. Ever since I bought those dotting tools last weekend, I can't get enough. :D Plus, I need the dotting practice.

Glamorous Life.
Earlier this week I went to Shoppers Drug Mart and picked up a few more Essence polishes. I didn't plan on buying six, but since they're so cheap and I couldn't choose, alas, I did. I love these little gems. They're so pretty and colorful! :D
Here's the ones I bought:
Here's the mani I did with them. I used three coats of "glamorous life", and for the accent nail I used two coats of "break through" and added a couple of coats of "space queen", also by Essence but not pictured above. I think it looked pretty funky. Someone even commented on it at work (a dude), haha. :)

Nothing Mousie 'bout it, but black is back.
Today's mani consists of Nothing Mousie 'bout it (shown in the last post) from OPI's Minnie Mouse collection, and Black is Back from Essence. The OPI polish has little pink hearts in it, but you can barely tell from the photo in the last post. I also had to big-time fish for the hearts. I'm still in love with the polish, though! With or without the hearts, it's sooooo cute! <3
The Essence polish was a bit weird to apply. It went on fine, but if you didn't do it perfectly, it kind of got a little clumpy. Of course, I fixed it by applying another coat. I used two coats, but it was definitely opaque in just one. When that was dry, I topped it off with two coats of Nothin' Mousie 'bout it. The end result looked like a dark purple fine glitter polish.
Here's a few pictures of just the black polish. Please ignore how messy it looks! I fail at applying black polish. D:
Now, here's some pictures of the black with the pink glitter on top:
I really wish my camera could capture the true look of this manicure. It's really so purple-y and gorgeous. I love it. I love how Nothin' Mousie 'bout it applied as well. I would definitely recommend that polish, even if you do have to fish for the glitter hearts.

Buuuut, it's so prettttayyy.
Of course, I went to Shoppers Drug Mart over the weekend to purchase some more Essence polishes. The one that I desperately wanted was not there, so I bought Black is Back and Luxury Secret, and the next day I bought a bunch of colors from Lawtons. I cannot enter a store without browsing the nail polish section.

Sealed With A Kris + My First Essence Polishes!
Sooooooo, I am very excited about today's mani and how well it turned out, but before I get to that, I'll point out that, of course, I went nail polish shopping again. I couldn't resist. One of my purchases was Nicole by OPI's "Sealed With A Kris" from the Kardsahian Kolors collection. As much as I think the Kardashians are overrated, I do love this polish line!
I also purchased Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Black Tie", Sally Hansen Insta Dri "Grape Going", and Essie's "Action" from the new summer neon line (that one must have been popular; I couldn't find it for a while, but I managed to nab it at Dominion). I also purchased Essie's quick drying top coat.
Here's a picture in no particular order. I apologize, the lighting is terrible.
AND, here's the new Essence polishes! "Choose Me!" and "Space Queen". I love them. They're so pretty! <3
Anyway, here's my mani: three coats of Sealed With A Kris, topped with one coat of Essence's Space Queen. I LOVE IT. It turned out so shiny and sparkly. -squeals with delight- I wish my camera was better just so I could show off these nails. These pictures do not do this justice, I swear.
I've also tried out Black Tie, which I have photos of for later on. :)
