OPI Germany Collection

Last week I picked up four of the new OPI Germany polishes.
  • Deutsche You Want Me Baby?
  • German-icure by OPI
  • Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs
  • Unfor-Greta-bly Blue
I was going to post swatches earlier in the week, but I decided that I'd wait until I swatched all four (and wore them each for a day to show off their prettyness!).

Without further adieu, on with the polish.

Deutsche You Want Me Baby?

Unfor-Greta-bly Blue

German-icure by OPI

And finally, Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs

I really liked the application of these polishes.  They were smooth and easy to apply, not to mention shiny and gorgeous.  I used top coat to boost the shine even more.  They glistened! I would definitely recommend these colors, and I'm thinking I shall try to snag a few more from this collection.  I want some of the cremes.

Swatch: Ruby Jewels

Ruby Jewels by Milani is such a pretty color and it was easy to apply.  I liked the formula and it did not take long to dry.  This was my first time using a Milani polish, and I'll definitely buy some more.

I didn't bother to put a top coat over it, but I'd recommend it.  I just got distracted and forgot about it.  Ooopsies!

Swatch: Bahamian Escape.

Oh, I wish I could go to the Bahamas! I guess wearing this pretty light blue cream by China Glaze will have to do! xD  This polish was really easy to apply and opaque in one coat, but I used two.  Some of my nails look a little rough, but I swear that's just me and not the nail polish itself.  The formula for this polish was awesome, and I LOVE the color.  I could not stop staring at it!

The next day I added some Sinful Colors - Purple Diamond on top of this mani just to see how it looked.  I liked THAT too, but I ended up taking it off just to try something else.  This is what I do when I buy a ton of new polish.  Nothing can stay on longer than a day or two.

ZOMG, FRANKENPOLISH!

I said that I had some awesome stuff to post, right? Right.  My first two frankens.  I would like you to meet  Key Lime Pie and Strawberry Cheesecake.  Okay, so the names aren't very creative, but...I digress.

I made Key Lime Pie a while ago.  The bigger shredded glitter ended up sinking to the bottom and bleeding, which helped create the shade of green that it is (so I like it anyway!).  The formula is thick and sort of hard to apply, but overall it looks pretty good.  I like it for my first franken!

I made Strawberry Cheesecake yesterday.  I used a few shades of pink in it, some pink glitter polish, purple glitter polish, gold glitter polish...a little bit of clear polish to give it a bit of a jelly-ish look.  It was fun to make, and I like the way it looked on my nails.  It was pretty easy to apply as well.  :)

Sooo, what do you think?!

Please ignore the fact that my nails on my right hand grow in odd angles (maybe I squished my middle finger as a child? I do not remember!) and my cuticles are dry and gross.  I am working on that!!!

butter freakin' LONDON.

Yes, I did purposely lowercase the entirety of the first word, as that's how the brand name is spelled. XD

Sooooo...
I purchased my first two butter LONDON nail polishes yesterday, and I'm already in love.  The lady at the store (the only store that sells it around here...because of her obsession!) told me that it's pretty fabulous and she loves it.  I've already read a lot of good words about it around here, so that only added to my desire to buy some; therefore, I bought two!  And, it's totally awesome that they're selling them for regular price (17.00).  Most little stores jack up their prices to make a profit. :O

I purchased:

  • Henley Regatta; and
  • Wallis
I also really, really, really want The Black Knight.  That color is so prettyful.

This one's Wallis, and it applied like a dream.  It also dried pretty fast, despite the coats I used.  I started with two coats of Sally Hansen's gel base.  You're only supposed to use one, but ehh.  Then I put on two coats of Wallis, even though it's opaque in just one.  I screwed up a couple of nails because I had to eat, so then I touched them up with another coat or two.  My nails are quite thick at the moment.

Some of these photos were taken with flash, others without.  Pardon the craptastic quality of my poor little Canon.

The last one is a picture of Henley Regatta.  I can't wait to use that one! Maybe this weekend I will invest in some more China Glaze Summer Neons and Essence polishes as well.  I'd love to get my hands on a few more of those!
